Library Educational Technician IIIPosition PurposeUnder the general supervision of the Principal and Elementary Librarian, to assist students, and teaching staff with an enriching library/media center environment with a wide range of reading and other educational materials; maintains library collection at school site; develops appropriate programs for students utilizing library resources; and instructs students and others on the proper use of the library resources.
Essential Functions:The Carl J. Lamb School is currently seeking a Library Educational Technician III. The successful candidate will:
Responsibilities: * Run the circulation desk;
* Check students into and out of the library;
* Plan library experiences for students in conjunction with the District Librarian;
* Use Destiny Library Manager system to maintain library records which include issuing overdue notices, inventory, and updating patron records;
* Maintain discipline and behavior protocols;
* Keep track of library supplies and submits needs to the District Elementary Librarian; and
* Help maintain the physical space.
*Teach literacy and STEAM lessons planned by the District Librarian.
Position Type: Full-time
Additional DutiesPerforms other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
